The Man Who Sat On His Fence

There was a man who sat on his fence.
He was disheveled about the current affairs.
Those affairs really didn’t concern him after all.
So he made it a choice to include them in his prayers.

There was a man who sat on his fence.
He watched his town change right from before his eyes.
He’d been sitting on his fence for many many years in a row now.
Sitting there so long, he could tell you what day it was by looking at the skies.

There was a man who sat on his fence.
Instead of being upset about the changes he saw.
He whistled about love and sometimes about memories now past.
He just knew life was short and the important binding factor was deaths law.

There was a man who sat on his fence.
Over time, with everything he knew now “done and gone”.
He just smiled because he could remember back to how things were.
You could hear his smile for miles and sometimes even hear his whistling song.

There was a man who used to sit on this one fence.
Over time they built a Wal-Mart where his fence once rested.
Now looking down from heaven, sitting on a fence with Jesus and Bill Gates.
The man just smiles and looks down, remembering his life, realizing how much he had blessed it.

The moral of this story is, chilling with Jesus and Bill Gates will change ones perception.
